Nº1. THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT OLIVE
While I hide behind a screen due to my neuro-spicy ways, there are a few truths I carry like gospel that you should know about me:
I live for the laughter in Living Single reruns and the whispers between notes in Solange’s “The Sound of Rain.” I’ve got a Gemini moon, which means I flirt with chaos and I make art from its ashes. I write stories that linger—darkly funny, deeply human, never afraid to dive into the heavy.
And at the heart of every page? Black characters, or one bold POC, leading with love, flaws, and lots of fire.
My work isn’t here to comfort you—but it will see you. It will shake you, and maybe, it will even save you.
So stay a while.
Bring your heart, your humor, and your hunger for something real.

Welcome to a world where fiction breathes life into Black stories—bold, tender, and unapologetically real. Olive’s growing catalogue centers Black characters in narratives full of romance, humor, and complexity. Every story is crafted with intention, made for Black women to feel seen, celebrated, and deeply loved.
At its core is The Nape Series—a love letter to friendship, growth, and the sacred spaces we hold for one another, inspired by iconic shows like Living Single, Harlem, and Insecure. The journey begins with Ready or Not, releasing August 25, 2025—a story of self-discovery, sisterhood, and the kind of love that meets you where you are.

On Patreon, you’re getting the uncut version of Olive: the behind-the-scenes rants, the raw poems, the recipes that comfort Olive when writing doesn’t, and the stories too unhinged, too tender, or too weird to ever see the light of day elsewhere.
This is where she talks to you like a friend. Where she shares the messy, magical process behind the pages—and where you get access to exclusive content made with love, curiosity, and probably too much coffee.
So don’t be afraid to be a member. Go and join the family.

Currently? Olive will be behind her screen working on Book Three of The Nape Series while editing Book Two and bothering her editor, brother & friends with memes.

A Black AuDHD poet turned storyteller, Olive Winter is known to breathe life into fiction that carries emotion, imagination, and truth. With a background in poetry, Olive brings lyrical depth to every sentence, crafting characters who feel as vivid and complex as real life. She writes across genres—Romance, Fantasy, Thriller, Horror—because she believes in embracing the full spectrum of storytelling. Why choose one world when you can live in them all?
Her work is rooted in the desire to create space for Black women to feel deeply seen and loved, infusing every story with heart, tension, and a touch of magic. Olive’s stories don't just entertain—they feel.
“I write fiction rooted in emotions, created for readers who crave connection, joy, & representation that feels like home.”
